Michael Savage Is Right

Today Michael Savage, on his radio show, called what has happened in the U.S. a soft revolution. We have been taken over with honeyed words and insidious tactics. He is so right.

Our President is now supporting leftist Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, who was summarily removed from office because he sought constitutional changes that would allow him to stay in office beyond his allotted term. The Honduran judiciary, congress, and army were outraged at Zelaya's actions.

Is our President looking to the future, when he plans to try something similar? He has shown little respect for our Constitution, so why not?

P.S. At His press conference today, the best comment from a journalist was a quacking ringtone.

President of What?

Our President was elected with slogans like "Yes, We Can", "Change", "Hope"; but He's put us on a course that has us headed for the rocks. He was inaugurated the President of the United States of America, but apparently would rather wind up the Divine Leader of the Disassembled Union of Disabled States of America.

He clearly is not working collaboratively with Republicans as He promised. His henchmen have no qualms about twisting arms, and promising pork, to get reluctant Democrats to toe the line and vote for bills they haven't even read.

Other governments are starting to see the folly of man-made climate change, but He goes blithely on maintaining, unchallenged, that a scientific consensus exists. He cold-bloodedly talks about health care for the elderly: maybe they should'nt have that expensive operation, but make do with pills.

His policies are weakening the economy, social fabric, and defenses of the U.S. Is He such an ideologue that He is blind to the results of His actions? Does He even care about this country? I think not. I think this President is wedded to his Marxist ideas and bloated self-image and has never appreciated the true foundations of this republic.

In January, this country was not in the greatest shape. The Bush administration had ventured into Stimulus Land, the economy was shaky, the housing crisis was rolling on, terrorists were still a threat, but we stood for something.

Now we are in complete disarray, wondering what this leader of ours will try to wreck next. How much longer will we be able to be proud of the United States of America?

Democrats Gone Wild

This is a day of injustice. This is a day of infamy for the Democratic Party. Against the will of the people, the party of 'the little guy' has passed a bill that could bring our economy to its knees.
Similar legislation is responsible for the debacle that is now California.
Rep. Tom McClintock of California cited an example where a locality saw its electricity cost double because of "green" legislation. "Cap and Trade" even acknowledges the cost penalties, by providing allowances to low-income families to defray increased expenses. What about the rest of us? Perhaps we could enjoy some of the goodies the Dems want to hand out if we could just train ourselves to breathe CO2 and exhale oxygen.
If the Senate cannot stop this bill, the will of the people will have been thwarted. The House was flooded with calls and emails opposing Cap and Trade, but caved in to Pelosi, Gore, and the President, anyway.
Whose country is this? How could this nightmare be happening? We are going to be competing in a very competitive global economy with both hands tied behind our back, if this bill passes the Senate. We need to contact our Senators before it's too late. And tell them to read the damn bill, for Heavens' sake.

Ungovernable Passions

What is it with these Governors? They marry women who maintain a household under difficult circumstances, who raise their kids, and help them with campaigning. But their wives are not enough. Perhaps the Gov's egos need an extraordinary amount of stroking. Maybe the pressures of holding office are just too much, and they just go haywire.

So we have Spitzer, Ensign, Stanford, and that's just recently. Is infidelity a politician's disease? Should a women ever marry one without a Draconian prenup? One that demands ruinous alimony and corporal punishment for the unfaithful?

I have another solution: Sperm Limits. No, that's not a typo. Married officeholders, male or female, would have a zero-tolerance limit on giving or receiving sperm out of wedlock. The only exceptions would be contibutions to, or withdrawals from, accredited sperm banks.

Sperm Limits is a neat, gender-neutral solution. Proven violators would automatically be removed from office, and sentenced to 1,000 hours of Dr. Laura Schlesinger.

Words, just Words..

So, the White House is telling us unemployment may rise to 10% in the next few months. What they aren't saying is that real unemployment is much higher..

To be accurate, you need to include those who have given up looking for work, and those who have had to settle for part-time employment. The DOL pegs this figure at well over 15%, not too far off from Great Depression numbers.

Meanwhile the printing presses are churning out billions of bogus dollars to stimulate this Obaminable economy. This kind of stimulus has never worked before, and it's not working now. Only China has a stimulus package that's working. Why? They already had the cash. No trillion-dollar deficits for them.

California Sinking In Debt

California is headed down the tubes. Despite Silicon Valley, Hollywood, a huge manufacturing industry, and a GDP larger than that of Russia, Canada, or India, California is likely to default.

California's debt is in junk bond territory. Unemployment is 11.5% and rising. Their deficit currently tops 24 billion, and help from Washington is not in the cards.

If California goes under, it will take the nation's purported stimulus gains with it, and then some. The entire municipal bond market will get dragged down.

And what are the Democrats in Sacramento doing? They tried to raise taxes on cigarettes and oil companies. That's the way to tighten your belt, guys! Maybe they need to head to New York for a date night.

Twilight Of The Presidency?

I am ashamed that our President chooses to make such a tepid response to the uprising over the Iran election. Our support would mean a lot to Iranians who are seeking liberty, who want their votes to count.

To the naysayers who claim our support would hurt the Iranian protestors, I say"You don't believe that - you're cowards. You would have us keep backing down on everything, until there's nowhere left to go."

Our Commander-In-Chief doesn't deserve the title. He's only decisive when it comes to firing Inspectors General who insist on doing their jobs, instead of coddling His friends.

The ABC's Of State-Controlled Media

How far will they let Him go? Apparently, ABC is the chosen mouthpiece for our Feckless Leader. Broadcasting from the White House, allowing no dissenting opinions (even as paid commercials) to sully their healthcare propaganda special, ABC is probably the envy of the other networks.

It's almost breathtaking how virtually every good thing about our America is a target of this administration: private enterprise, free press, moral authority, rugged individualism. I don't think this is what most voters bargained for.

We at least deserve someone with the courage to take the brutal oppressors in Iran to task. We're still the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. He must not succeed in turning us into just another timid socialist state..

President Milquetoast

So He thinks that Ayatollah ali Khameini is "concerned" about the violent election dispute in Iran, and He "worries" when he sees freedom fighters being met with violence. So what?

Where is the vehement statement that this country supports all people who desire freedom? Reagan and the Bushes would have made statements in support of the Iranian protestors in no uncertain terms. Even Clinton might have stepped up.

But we are stuck with President "deeply concerned" Milquetoast. He just wants to be liked. He's good at being liked, but He has a wish-bone instead of a backbone.

And perhaps He identifies with a government that keeps the populace in check by any means. So why "meddle"?

Jawboning Healthcare

I'm not looking forward to a healthcare system that limits my options more than the current one. From other countries with "national healthcare" we hear of people who are deemed by the system to be too old to receive expensive cures, or who die before they get a procedure that would have saved their lives.

I don't care what He says, His healthcare plan would be just another of His initiatives that would make us second rate. Of course, costs would go through the roof - why else would they even be thinking of taxing healthcare benefits. Surgery might be hard to get, but they'll be operating on your pocketbook!

Gas Prices Going Wild!

It's amazing that, with gas prices rising higher every week, that there isn't an outcry for Him to intervene. The major media outlets seem to be ignoring this story. Need we ask why?

This is just a part of the truly awful economic situation we're in. One of the few experts who is telling the true story is Martin Weiss. It's well worth your while to sign up for his free newsletter, but only if you think you can face economic reality.

Time for Conservatives to Get a Grip

These are hard times. Everyone but His fanatical followers is getting nervous about the course we're on. He fancies himself akin to the Great Emancipator, but I see him as the Great Eviscerator, ripping at the vital organs of a country He seems to despise.

Now is the chance for Conservatives to appeal to those who still love this country, the greatest nurturer of freedom on Earth. Most Americans are conservative at heart, and I think their minds are ready for the voice of reason. The "American Idol" has feet of clay. He cannot sustain His popularity if He continues on this reckless course. He has already done four years worth of damage, so I think we should call a time out.

I Hope I'll Have some Change Left...

The history books generally give a fairy-tale luster to the reign of FDR. We think, "Well, he got us through the Depression." Really! Then why was unemployment at 20% in 1939? Why did the stock market continue to fall throughout 1930's?

Herbert Hoover started a relatively small-scale "bailout" when the stock market crashed in 1929. FDR, who ran on a platform of spending cuts and tax reduction in the 1932 election, proceeded instead to pull out all the stops on government spending. And so we had the Great Depression.

Today we have a crisis of even greater proportions. In 1936 we had the biggest single deficit in U.S. history: 4.76 percent of GDP. Now, it is just about triple that percentage, at a conservative 13.4%. But who's counting? After all, He is in charge.

Dedicated to He-Who-Shall-Remain-Unnamed

Our current U.S. President, to whom I will refer as "He", or "Him", came to most of us as an unknown quantity. He came out of the steamy sewers of Chicago politics, yet seemed not to reek of shady deals in smoke-filled rooms, or stacks of cash handed over in secret.

Even his birth was shrouded in mystery, as stories circulated of his birth in Kenya, and no true birth certificate has been produced.

A few of us did a little research and were appalled at what we found, but HOPE and CHANGE won the day. Sarah Palin, who had more executive experience than He did, and gave a better speech, and was not running for the top spot, was trashed by the mainstream media. These "churn-alists" made her out to be an ignorant, bimbo moose-hunter.

Anyway, if He hadn't been elected, I probably wouldn't be blogging.
